Entry for December 10, 2005

Jerry Trammel and I drove down to Floyd for Blue Ridge Country Dancers potluck and dance in memory of  Elliot Dubinsky.  The band was House Red  (see above) with my friend Sean  Brenneman of Radford on keyboards, Jonathan Thielen of Greensboro and Owen Morrison (of Charlottesville, if  Ted Crane’s listing is current) on guitar and mandolin.  Kathleen Ingoldsby had done a beautiful job decorating with lights and memorabilia and at the front table each dancer was asked to wear one of Elliot’s id buttons from a former dance weekend, so that “we’d all be dancing as Elliot.”
